Principal - Roberta Knox
​
Roberta studied dance at Marianne Jepsons School of Dance. She gained the Associates teaching qualification in Tap, Ballet, Modern & National dance before going on to perform in West End & national theatres. Roberta has also recently become a fully qualified teacher within the Acrobatic Arts curriculum. She has performed in 42nd Street, was the understudy for Cinderella in E & B productions & performed with the Jim Henson Company, to name but a few!
Roberta established the dance school in its original form in 1996. Roberta’s love of dance is evident in her teaching & the examination results. Roberta’s passion is Musical Theatre.

Principal - Grace Clarke
​
Grace began her performing arts training from the age of 3 where she competed in many dance competitions throughout the country winning numerous awards. Along side this Grace was lucky enough to begin her acting career with being featured on Nickelodeon ,BBC, Netflix and more. Annie the musical was her first professional musical theatre credit where she played Molly , followed by Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat.
In 2012 Grace was offered a full time dance scholarship for Redroofs Theatre School where she trained for 5 years she then moved on to graduate at The Urdang Academy’s full time Musical Theatre Course. Grace has now gained multiple full teaching qualifications with the ISTD including Ballet, Modern and Tap and is a fully qualified Acrobatic Arts Teacher. Grace now continues her own professional development with studying towards her Degree in Dance Pedagogy with the ISTD Academy.

Designated Safeguarding Lead - Brandon Lewington
Brandon Lewington is a dedicated professional working as the Safeguarding Lead at Step In Time. With a passion for creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students, Brandon ensures the highest standards of care and protection within the school. Brandon holds a Paediatric First Aid certification, demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of the young dancers under his care. His role involves overseeing safeguarding policies, providing guidance to staff, and ensuring every student feels supported and secure. Brandon’s approachable and compassionate nature, coupled with his expertise, makes him an integral part of the team, ensuring that the dance school remains a safe space for creativity, growth, and learning.

Teacher - Ellie Openshaw
​
Ellie trained at Redroofs Theatre School for 5 years before continuing her training at Bird College where she was lucky enough to receive a Dance and Drama Award (DaDa) to then graduate with a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre. Ellie has been performing from a young age and has been involved in professional Pantomimes, TV and Theatre. Ellie has recently become fully qualified teacher within the Acrobatic Arts curriculum. She has also passed her ISTD DDE teaching qualification in tap and has experience teaching and choreographing Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Commercial Street Dance, Jazz, Modern, Musical theatre, Singing and Tap. Ellie is very excited to join the Step in Time family

Teacher - Phoebe Ballantyne

Phoebe trained at Azure Theatre School for 10 years before accepting a place on a Musical Theatre Degree at Wilkes Academy, where she is currently training full time. Phoebe has experiences from professional Pantomimes to modelling for large athletic brands and has professional training within the arts of ballet, technical jazz, tap, musical theatre, contemporary, commercial, singing and acting. She has also recently become a fully qualified teacher within the Acrobatic Arts curriculum. Phoebe is dedicated to helping the students achieve their full potential and is proud to be a part of the Step In Time family.

Teacher - Ellie May
​
Ellie has been a student at Step in Time since she was 5 years old and is now enjoying being part of the Step In Time team assisting and teaching . Ellie is an exceptional and committed dancer and is a member of the prestigious Tap Attack performance Company. She is a Gold medallist in the World Tap Championships. Ellie has also recently become a fully qualified teacher within the Acrobatic Arts curriculum.

Teacher - Libby Griffiths
​
Libby is a passionate and accomplished musical theatre performer who began her training at Redroofs School for Performing Arts, earning a scholarship from Year 7. She toured with The Sound of Music, playing Brigitta von Trapp, before continuing her professional development with a Level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre at Italia Conti. Libby performed in Hair the Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre as part of her graduating showcase. Most recently, she completed a UK tour playing Nancy in Oliver Twist, where she also inspired and educated children through workshops, teaching scenes from the show and sharing insights into how the production came to life
